HONOLULU, June 25, 2018International Market Place will host its first-ever Mixology Month throughout July, featuring a variety of exclusive libations made by the talented mixologists of the Grand Lānai restaurants and The Street Food Hall by Michael Mina. Various spirits and pupu (appetizer) pairings will be highlighted throughout the month along with special events and contests.

“We are excited to host the first-ever Mixology Month to expand upon the amazing chef-driven cuisine at International Market Place’s restaurants and showcase our brilliant, award-winning mixologists and their expertly crafted cocktails,” said Breana Grosz, International Market Place’s marketing and sponsorship director. “The month will be a culmination of exclusive cocktail and pūpū pairings along with many special events and live entertainment to kick off summer!”

Participating Mixology Month restaurants include Eating House 1849 by Roy Yamaguchi, Flour & Barley, Herringbone, StripSteak Waikiki, Yauatcha and The Street Food Hall By Michael Mina.

Featured spirits include vodka (July 1-7), tequila (July 8-14), whiskey (July 15-21) and rum with a special emphasis on mai tais (July 22-31). The exclusive pairings will only be available during the week the spirit is featured in July.

Watch as two International Market Place bartenders mix-off in Battle of the Bartenders, held every Thursday in July, beginning July 5 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Queen’s Court. Admission is free to the public and guests will have a chance to sample their creations at participating restaurants. The winning bartender at the end of the month will receive a cash prize. Crystal Akana will emcee the events, and judges include Kyle Reutner, brand manager at Kō Hana Agricole Rum, Chandra Lucariello, director of mixology and spirits education at Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits of Hawaii and David Abrass, management supervisor at MVNP, who is also a sommelier and former bartender.

Guests can enjoy live music every Saturday night in July from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Queen’s Court. Admission is free and open to the public. The lineup includes:

From July 1 through September 30, guests can receive International Market Place’s second edition tote bag, designed in partnership with Greenroom Hawaii and local artist Jordan Higa and inspired by the iconic 160 year-old Banyan tree. When guests spend $250 or more in combined receipts from any International Market Place restaurant or retailer, guests can present receipts at Customer Service located on Level 1 near Saks Fifth Avenue to receive a tote bag.
